Default Thanks for all the DIY's!

All,
I just wanted to say thanks for all the DIYs and thread topics regarding maintenance.

Yesterday, I changed the transmission fluid and brake fluid (clutch fluid, too).

Also, I've recently done the diff fluid and I have a TCT here to put in next time, and also have a new belt. Did a valve adjustment, too, along with my brake pads (which I didn't need a DIY for ) .

3 years ago, when I took my S in for routine service, it was over $400 and I didn't even get a valve adjustment, and they didn't do the transmission fluid, either. Those "inspections" add up .

I've saved several hundred dollars in the last few weeks alone. I have a SOS supercharger en route and will be installing that myself, too...I'll do the TCT and belt at that time).

You've been bitten by the DIY bug.

I often use cost saving as my excuse too but the truth is I just like working on cars.
