Default Does a spray painted intercooler hurt its cooling ability?

I've seen some people spray paint there intercooler ....I am presuming to have a more stealth look. Does this effect its cooling ability? Just curious!

Thanks, Greg

I think not only are you reducing the space between the fins and reducing the airflow through them, but paint is a bit of an insulator (poor heat exchange).

I'd only paint the intercooler frame, not the fins. Not sure why you'd want to paint it any way?
