Default Does your A/C Buzz?

I noticed that the A/C on our 00 approaching 100K miles has a slight buzz when it's on. It can be heard on the inside and it's not very loud but I don't remember if it was always like that. Everything seems to be working fine just wanted to post as a precaution to see if it's a sign of parts to fail/be replaced soon.

Get a mechanics sthesescope (or a long screwdriver) and put it on the A/C and put your ear up to the screwdriver (which will amplify the sound eminating from the A/C)

If you hear a rattling noise, it could mean the A/C bearing are starting to go.

52K, used the A/C maybe ten times, no noises to report so far.

have it checked out, it could be a leaky o ring(which cost around 5 cents), dying compressor, undercharging system.

all of the above can lead to major failure and expensive fix.

have a pro checked out before too late.

Check to see where the noise is coming from first, with the A/C on, open the hood and wait for the A/C Clutch to engage then rev the motor.
