Default dome light

Ever since i got my s2000 the dome lights inside the car never worked when i opened the door.... my gf was getting in and she is always complaining she cant see at night or sits on random things ect.
the lights work.. because u can still push the button and they light up.
the door sensors work becuase the light on the cluster goes off when both doors are shut.... any ideas guys would be great....

Well first of all you should be fixing it because you love your car and not because you love your GF

I assume you checked the dome light switch is set to 'DOOR' right?

It's threads like this that discourage people from wanting to continue to provide assistance to people with potential problems. OP,why not just answer the question about the switch position instead of being a nerd about it??This is assuming you have a problem with the interior light and not just trolling.

I have an issue with mine similar to this, but I have found if i physically push the switch on the side (the switch the door pushes when closed) it works but it seems to be a loose wire or possibly got wet when washing or something....The lights all work but flicker briefly then go out whenever the passenger door is opened...this all started maybe a month or so ago.

the terminals in there get dirty/corroded, you need to take off the lens and maybe the whole thing, and clean all the contacts
