Default Door glass gaps

I bought used s2000 and got large gaps between door glass and softtop rubber. Look at the pictures. Does it have to be like that or not? The water is slipping inside while running fast at mediate rain.

That is not right. The S2000 is one of the best convertibles against leaking.

Was your car wrecked before you bought it?

Does it have an aftermarket soft top?

It may be wrecked. Who will tell you

The soft top looks like factory as the plastic window is much weared.

I'm going to check up the geometry, but want to look at other s2ks first. That's why I'm asking for photos of the door gaps.

Try messing around with the weatherstripping or replacing if necessary.

I'm affraid it is not so simple. I rther think it it door glass alingment (look at the photo) or whindshield frame alignment.

I have a 2000 and I notice the same issue with the window and the seals. It hasn't been a large issue to me, because I don't drive the car in the rain, but there have been a couple times where I got caught driving it when it started raining.

Mine doesn't appear to leak as bad as you are decribing though. I'll notice a few small drops getting through into the inside. On the drivers side...it's on the upper part of the window about 2 or 3 inches away from the top front corner.

I did notice that the weather stripping wasn't seating correctly against the window in that corner, so I always try to push it back in place when I put the windows up. It has helped a little in getting the stripping back to the corect location.

There are adjustments inside the door. You just have to know what you are doing. I adjusted my glass when i got my hardtop.

Your weather stripping can also be compressed or bad.
