Drifting the car...any problems?

thats not really a drift. thats more of a fish tail or power slide if you will. a true DRIFT in what you were asking about is a controll of going through a turn from before the turn in through the apex and out the exit. meaning breaking the rear tires loose before the turn aiming the car where you want it to end up, going through the entire turn and coming out the other end still sliding. there are many ways of doing this E brake, shift lock, lift off, feint , braking and power over.

what are the problems with power sliding and fish tailing? im sure they're easier on the car than a true drift. btw can you define power over.
there is nothing wrong at all with a fish tail or a power slide, i was just saying your post was asking about drifting. there is a difference. a power over is basicly jerking the wheel one way then immediatly jerking it the oposite way transfering all the weight of the car while giving full throttle to spin the tires breaking the rear loose and causing an inertia drift. thats a power over

you also have to remember the J's racing car is not intended for drifing. its intended for circuit racing and touge battles. so cooling is very important because the car will be dirving for long periods of time with massive loads on it.

Also, here's an amature drift video of an s2k I found on drifting.com. Sorry for the BMW
drifting s2k
Incase someone doesn't know, kazaa has a video of the drift king in the s2k they can also check out.
I am plannig to drift my s2k. For now I am not gonna take the comments about "You cant drift an s2k" in consideration. I ll try to drift it, if it wont then ill stop trying, but well see. I have drifted other cars before, cars which are very hard to control thru a drift, heavy cars, like a camaro. It was extremly hard, I cant even say I managed to complete the drift since in the middle I used to countersteer way too much purposly( i used get scared) to get the back end where it supposed to be and finish drifting in the turn. Well see hat happens with the S. My question is, I was plannig to get 16 inch steel wheels and tires and put them on the back while I still have my S03 and 18 inch volk gtns on the front, whic will give me more than enough front grip, preventing understeer and crash the inside of the trun, while the 16 inch rubber is much easier to break lose ( i will get cheap hard compound tires), cheaper to replace. Now the question is, will 16 inch wheels and tires on the back and 18 inch volks on the front ride properly? I have never tired it before, thats why i am asking. I also dropped the car with neuspeed springs, I am not sure how many inches but its pretty agressive i must say. I have posted this to the tire forum too but did not get a proper answer.
