Default Drive Shaft Night Mare

So I got in a minor accident with the s2k about a week ago. I lost control around a corner and jumped a curb. It curbed my back rim, cracked my CF lip a little, and knocked my drive shaft out of wack. I didn't know anything happened to my driveshaft until the next morning when I noticed leakage under my car, and took it to the shop. There was heavy leakage from the driveshaft and they said i'd need a new one. Three other locations told me the same thing.

So I ordered a used one off ebay and it should be here in a few days. Problem is, VTEC doesn't work in 1st gear, and is very weak in the rest of the gears. I've been keeping it under 4k but was wondering if it is still safe to drive. It seems to be getting worse as the days go by. Would the fact that VTEC doesnt work have anything to do with the driveshaft, or am I looking at more problems?

Hopefully it's nothing, but you can understand my concern.

No Vtec, Low OIL! Check it. I bet you cracked the oil pan.

Why are you trying to get into vtec with your car messed up...only more BAD things can happen until you fix stuff.

Your e-mail post doesn't make sense - vtec doesn't work and I'm keeping it under 4K rpm - it's not supposed to work under 6K RPM.... If you saw oil at the front of the DS then the oil pan may be leaking - if the oil is at the back side of the DS then maybe you should look closely at the diff.

i dont think driveshaft uses oil... you might have a leak from oil pan, tranny or diff
