I hear a whistling/wind blowing sound coming from my compressor at times when the AC is on. Anyone else hear this?

 

you need to go to a meet and compare, it's one of the thing you have to hear it in person to know, unless you know what are you looking for.

if you have excessive noise in the compressor, check the belt tension to see if it's within spec, take off the belt and see if the pulley will spin freely.

the worst case it coule be a dying compressor clutch
