Default Dynamat for mufflers?

Anyone ever try strategically placed dynamat near the mufflers to reduce cabin drone? I'm basically looking for ways to be able to keep my exhaust but the droning even with the top down is driving me insane. I figure the last hope is to dynamat the bottom of the trunk right on top of the mufflers to keep the drone out of the cabin.

Thoughts?

You would be talking about the inside of the trunk, right? Don't think it will offer the results you wish to gain, or least it didn't for me from what I can tell.

I'm curious what system you have?

Have you considered having it modified with a Helmholtz resonator like the stock exhaust?

Wouldn't the droning be higher with the top down? The PVC produces little cavity effect, and it would seem to me it would act like putting a PVC blanket over a subwoofer.

I found out that most drone you hear inside of cabin is coming thru the soft top.

But you can reduce drone little by putting sound deadening material on spare tire floor(if you knock that area you will hear loud resonance in cabin) and some on tool walls.

It helped me significantly because I have HT

I don't want to do anything that would affect it's performance.
