dyno tuner seems to have tuned with AC on (blower off)!?
I have an AEM Infinity in my 2002 S2000. The tuner (and I) expected to see ~20+ HP and torque gains based on my mods (Urge midpipe, Urge unicorn header, SoS tappered throttle body, AEM v2 intake). "Only" saw ~10 HP and ft/lb consistently throughout the powerband.
The tuner kept saying "I'd have expected more"... we removed the AEM v2 (no benefit, wasn't bottleneck). Also verified the oil pressure was as expected (actually ran very high in 100-110 PSI due to the fact that I removed the oil jets).
So I left the tuner disappointed with the results yesterday but the car drives with serious power realized by my butt-dyno. And the Urge exhaust sounds amazing.
Anyway, all being said: I noticed this morning that the AC was on! Thought it odd.. I know I didn't turn it on. So I emailed my tuner. this was his response:
Thing is even if the blower wasn't on the AC compressor would be right?
The entire session cost me over $600 ($80 of which was to verify the intake and oil pressure). Money aside, I'd like to understand the implications of the fuel tables having been adjusted with the AC on. Will my car run richer as a result and my fuel economy be awful? I have an AFR gauge now so I'll monitor it. I can also compare my fuel economy now vs before (I've consistently used fuelly).
But really I'm hopeful that my tuner owns his oversight (by having the AC on for at least some of the dyno tuning session) and invites me back to do some extra pulls to make sure all is OK.
Thoughts?
EDIT: I've verified that the AC switch won't illuminate (nor compressor turn on) if the blower isn't on.

Ac only works if the blower is on but it was off. Most likely a setting in the Infiniti that will turn it off as well under high load as well but I would need to verify that.

OK, great news (means I shouldn't need a retune). Although I was hopeful AC being on was the source of the lower than expected results.

Really not sure what your point is. If anything no oil jets should improve performance (less drag on pistons due to no oil spray). Maybe you were trying to say that I saw the 10+ HP gain due to no oil jets? Cute, but no I changed a lot on the car aside from the oil jets delete fiasco.
But yes the verdict is still out on whether that lack of oil jets will cause premature wear on my cylinder walls, etc.
