Default Early AP1 and Transmission Issues

Hey guys,

First post here. I have been lurking on this forum for many years now. I first came across this forum when I was researching on engine oil on google. The google search result brought me to various posts by a user named Road Rage.

Anyway, I used to own a 2000 AP1 four years ago, and eventually sold it. Now I want to purchase another S2000. For my next S2000 I want to stick with an AP2 because of so many transmission problems I had on my AP1. However, I would consider the AP1 due to its stiffer sway bars and higher RPM ratings.

Basically, my Y2K AP1 had all the transmission problems listed by the TSB:
1) Grinding when upshifting to 2nd Gear
2) Lever pops out of 4th Gear
3) Hard to engage gear and excessive shifter play (Replaced bushing and greased lever myself)
4) Excessive buzzing and vibration caused by the clutch, and felt like the transmission was going to explode and slice my feet off.

I changed the transnmission flud to Motul GL-4 fluid and the grinding had reduced, but present.

Now, according to the TSB pertaining to the transmission problems, almost ALL of those TSB's are applicable to mainly the 2000 to early 2002 model cars. My question is this. If I purchase a 2003 AP1, will all of the transmission problems experienced in the early AP1 be eliminated?

I did a search on this and couldn't find a confirmation.

Thanks in advance. That's enough question for now!
