Easy spark plug specs question
i just had the tsb done tonight and tomorrow i want to check to see first if they put new plugs in and second if they were properly torqued and the gap checked.
heres what i was planning on
gap aroun .043
torque to 18 ft. lbs.
dielectric grease on the coil contact and antiseize on the threads.
i did a search on the torque and everyone is says helms read 13 but 18 would be better, so ???

anti-seize on the threads is not a bad thing. however, all torque values are for clean and DRY fastener threads. Everything there is non-ferrous so rust, the seize cause, is not an issue. When threads are lubed they can be easily overtorqued. I sheared a wheel stud on my g/f car by oiling the threads and then torquing to the prescribed value.
