Default ECL: RUNNING LEAN.... HELP

i scanned my car the other day and the code popped up running lean. it idles very low sometimes, enough to where its about to stall. it starves sometimes at low rpm at a red light or stop sign. im sick of it and was wondering wat to do? where do i look first? can i just put a fuel regulator on and call it a day?

btw: my mods are invidia test pipe, hks catback, intake, and thats it. (the codes pop up for the O2s being out too)

2001 with those mods are not lean, and very low idle is normal.

With a lightly modded 01, you should invest in a VAFC to get the air/fuel mixture optimized by a tuner.

But iDomN8U is right...MY00-01 normally run more rich than any other s2ks.

Do this: pop the hood start the car.

Then listen to the engine itself. Put your ear real close to the valve cover, on all sides.

You may hear an irregular knocking sound. I have that now, and the engine does the same thing at idle. They say it may be piston slap...

piston slap will go away when the car is warmed up
