Default ek fog light help

I installed a set of the EK fogs on my car this weekend and after everything was wired up and connected, I go switch them on and.....POP, there goes the fuse. The fuse im blowing is between the battery and the relay. Ive checked and re-checked the wiring, grounds, and switch and I cant figure out what the problem is. The fuse provided with the kit is 15amps, I've tried as high as 30, and it still pops.

So after searching I havnt seen anyone having this problem. The installation is pretty straight forward, so what's the problem?

where did u plug the harness into ur fuse box? u sure u dont have a wire pinched against something thats causing a short. I know on a eg civic i believe its the 4th one from left to right that the harness needs to be plugged into. But u could just check with a test light for pwr.

ya i would just get a test light and test for pwr so u know which one is the right one to attach it to. ya might just have it in the wrong place so for now i would suggest just leave it alone and, dont put bigger fuses in you could run into a big problem with that

I checked pwr everywhere, and everything seems fine. After doing some testing it seems like the problem is with the relay. Any idea where to get a new relay?

Since the relay is an aftermarket part, you probably mounted it somewhere. It could be that the relay is shorted internally. Did you have to run a ground wire for the relay coil or does it pick it up through a mounting screw? If you ran a wire, you could have it on a wrong terminal on the relay. Sorry, but we have no idea what the relay looks like.

I told you, she noticed you were putting fogs on her and this is her way of telling you to take the fogs off of her face!

Is this a third party harness or Honda's harness?
