Default Easy way to reset SRS light

Hey guys, i figured i would share this incase you run across the same problem as i had in the future. My SRS light came on during my new engine being put in. It gets set off by very low voltage or possibly unplugging sensors. I tried to go to the dealership, but they were a long wait. I did a little research online and found a walkthrough.

CLICK HERE (Or read my cliff notes version below).

It tells you exactly how to do it and it took me less then 30 seconds and worked on the first try. Our plug is the small yellow plug on the fuse box with 2 green wires going in to it.

You just unplug it from the dummy harness and stick a speaker wire in both ends. You touch the 2 ends together and then turn the key. The SRS light will go off in 6 seconds. When it does this, you just pull the wires apart. About 4 seconds later it comes back on and you just touch the wires together again. It goes off and then you are good to go. You just plug the harness back up and start the car. No more SRS light. Hope this helps somone.

Honda specifically warns not to use a jumper wire for this procedure. That being said, I have done exactly this, using a jumper wire, and neither my car nor my airbags exploded. The process is described in the Helm manual in detail.
