Default Engine bogging, choking at 4000-4500 revs

Hey guys as the title says my engine is choking at around 4000 revs everytime without fail. I had a faulty knock sensor which i replaced and it fixed the problem for a month but now the problems returned. Honda told me im misfiring under load. I replaced spark plugs and coils with new genuine parts although the problem still persists. Ive read it could be a simple map whack although that sounds like it just fixes idle problems. Any other ideas guys? Any advice would be appreciated.

No engine modifications. And yes but it was written with incorrect information plus i thought this would be a better title for the problem as a knock sensor doesnt seem to be the culprit.

If you push the engine past 4K r's how does it run? Running an OEM catalytic converter?

Years ago I had a catalytic converter partially collapse and the car would not run at higher rpm. Not a S2000 and it was a ceramic cat -- I believe our cats are metal honeycomb.

Please describe "choking" better. It is a term that is not very specific.

I assume you do not mean to say the air/fuel mixture is rich.

Is the rev limiter kicking in? Is the power leveling off and the car continues to rev but not with the power you expect?

The car will continue to rev but the choking continues and the car doesnt pull any harder. Other things i can think of is the car has a weird exhaust sound every now and again like a splutter. I sent her on for a compression test yesterday and the cylinders all came back at 220.
