Lemon laws are for cars with the SAME problem 3 or more times.

In this case, the warranty will buy him a new motor.

have you checked the oil level?
did you miss a shift and cause a mechanical over-rev?
did the 2007 EU come with the newer 2.2 liter or still the 2.0 liter? i think 2008 was the first year for the 2.2 liter worldwide.

best of luck.

No, it's not the 2.2 but the good old 2.0L. I didn't over rev or do anything like that.. I was cruising along the highway and the rpm was under 6K (I didn't even go into VTEC once since I bought it!). So it must have been a manufacturing defect.. I still don't know what happened but from how it sounds (like a diesel from the 80's ) I think it's going to need a new engine...

I would like to meet the guy who assembled my engine in Japan

What do you think went wrong?

Happy Easter from Italy

No one can tell you what went wrong from reading your post. Your mechanic has to open it up and look.

Sounds like a friend of mine who owns and EVO. He had a rod bolt back off and just fall into the oil pan. He was just cruising and the engine stalled after some loud noises. We didnt know what it was until we got it all apart and found the bolt in perfect condition, so we assume it just backed out somehow.
