Engine knocking at idle only when warm

I think I have this issue as, I thought it would've been one of the belts. It was like a knocking/ticking sound. I haven't had a value adjustment or TCT replaced so once I get that done, I'll report back here.

Retainers were checked and valves were rechecked today. They are fine

How could it be knock when everything was within oem spec and bearings were replaced and nothing was out of round?

It just sounds like it, I dont think its rodknock if everything was replaced, but it has to be knocking/tapping from somewhere..

I would just start pushing on different parts of the car in that area to see if I could change the sound or make it go away. I have scared myself plenty of times on the S and other cars and found out it was just a body panel rattle or something. My 240sx was notorious. Just about every time I got home after late night spirited driving there was some knock or rattle that turned out to be a body panel.

Posting for interest as I think I have some sort of noise as well

'02 Ap1 with 37k miles, but I'm beyond paranoid. My previous car an '02 Celica spun a bearing so any knock or rattle sets my imagination wild.
