Default Engine Leakdown Tester vs. Compression Tester

I'm going to be purchasing one of the above soon to make sure my internals are up to uppping boost. I can't tell from product descriptions what the difference is between the a Leakdown Tester vs. Compression Tester.

Also, what are the recommended instructions for using either of the above on the S2000?

Thanks

They test the same basic situations, but do it differently. A Compression tester tests how much compression is formed by the cylinder squeezing the charge air when you turn the motor over. A Leakdown tests how a cylinder holds pressure.

I guess you use the Compression test first, then if you see a problem use the Leakdown and listen for the location of the leak (adjacent cylinder, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, crank case, radiator).
