Default Engine Noise

Hello,

I'm new to the S2KI forum and a first time S2000 owner. I bought my AP1 used with 68,000 miles right after the New Year. Since then I've done minor stuff - aftermarket Voxx racing wheels, Ohlin coil overs, upgraded sound system, new burgundy soft top.

I cannot identify what noise this is when sitting in the driver seat. It is very irritating and appears to only be heard when idling.

Any pointers or assistance would be appreciative so I can chase it down and fix what ever is causing the noise.

Thank you
LLB

Were you in the garage when this was recorded? Just curious.

No this was in the driveway with the windows closed. It's a chirping noise and seems to be resonating from the engine bay to the interior dash. If anyone has experienced this issue please enlighten me.

Yep, maybe a bearing going out in one of the accessories. It happens. OP Remove belt to troubleshoot. If sound goes away you know its one of them.

Check the PCV hose, does the car have crank vents?

Crank vents will cause chirping at idle.
