Default Engine noise

Hey guys, well for some reason my cars making this weird noise. Its almost like somethings rubbing on one of the belts on the engine. Its not a constant rubbing rather like an unbalanced rub where its repetitive. I looked high and low to see if something was caught in there anywhere or anything like that. The radiator fans are not on or anything like that. Only moving parts that I can see are the belts and such. TIA guys

Edit: I will say that I had my valves adjusted not too long ago buy a reputable shop, But that was close to a thousand miles ago.

I think it may be the alternator. It seems to be directly related to belt speed. Is there any way to clean out/lube up the alternator with silicon spray or something??? thanks guys.

When I've had belt squeaks in the past, I pressed a bar of soap against the belt. It would temporarily lubricate the belt. If the squeaking stopped, I knew that was the problem. If not, I knew to look elsewhere.

It's possible that your belt tensioner was sticking, and cleaning everything loosened it up. If it comes back again, you might want to check it out.
