Just an FYI, if the vehicle is under warranty and they attempt to deny a claim due to aftermarket modification, they must prove that the mods CAUSED the damage to the vehicle. This is law and it can be worth taking to court if you need a new engine. I also know that many dealers will initiate the recall on the plugs outside of warranty. As for them actually fixing the engine? Well, some people have had luck, some haven't. Good luck on your problem.
bottom line they do not have to warranty anything that has been modified from stock.

i know, but again my car isnt warranty'd. The problem was the recall that i did not complete. I did not blow up my motor, nor did i purchase a warranty. i talk'd with "Mon"(sp) of AHM. He was trying to explain to me that my problem was not equivalent to the recall.

He told me that i must of driven it hard, n he point'd out the aftermarket alternation of the intake i had. but with me driving hard, how can i possible mess up my motor. my motor still run's.

But on a serious note, if it was an intake, please tell me how could it possiblly mess up my spark plugs? ive done my research and could not find anything. All i can think of is hydrolocking, but at that point my motor would not turn over.

I call'd them and ask if they check the cel codes or the compression and they said no. I really dont think its my fault. ive baby'd my car since day one.

As for right now their keeping it at honda. Hopefully, Mon figures out the problem it caused. Im anxious to hear about it.

It sounds like that dealer is intent on not being helpful to you. I would take the car to another dealer and make sure your vaccum hoses are set correctly. It's pretty apparent that the intake did not cause this problem there is no need for the dealership to know there was one on the car in the distant past.

Actually hondamanwill, that is not accurate.

Mbilderback is correct. It must be proven that aftermarket mods are what caused the failure in order to deny a claim. Despite what your local dealer might try to make you believe.

Good luck with the claim Rusler Firbrand, the way it sounds, if the recall had been done, this should never have happened. If you regularly service your car with the dealer, they should have done the recall. My fingers are crossed for ya!
