Default weird noise in engine bay

So last night I met up with some friends... we decided to go the highway and do a pull all was fine car ran great but then when I parked the car I started hearing a really weird noise coming from the engine. I'm hoping it's the tct but it doesn't sound like most of the videos I have watched for it, its more of a thud every half second or so and will speed up if I rev the engine.... I had to drive it home like this and it drove completely fine.... I'm really stumped right now I will post a sound clip later today when I have time to get one. Any Ideas what it might be?

A "thud" every half second sounds like you have one cylinder that is not firing. Put your hand up to your exhaust pipe and see if it is "puffing" at the same frequency as the "thud". If it is, you have a cylinder that isn't firing.

It may be something different, since you'd notice this while driving. But you should at least rule it out. What you describe definitely isn't your TCT.

How many miles on the car? Have you had your valves adjusted? Did you check your exhause pipes to see if it is "puffing" as I mentioned? Does the engine shake at all?

If it is just a noisy valve, I'd suggest that you post an audio clip for us to hear.

The site will not let me upload vids???? And all cylinders r firing on my car... everything is absolutely perfect with the car except the clicking sound... and no its not the normal valve chatter... I forgot to add somthing I put an aem ems on my car on saturday and had it tuned car ran perfect until sunday night. My guess is somthing changed I'm getting predetonation at idle cuz at 3k rpm the sound goes away... Tomorrow morning I'm going to unhook the coil packs one at a time and see it the sound goes away.
