sorry if this has been asked before, i tried the search function, maybe im just not good at it.

i picked up my s2k on friday, 04 with 45k on it. the engine is not getting up to temp, its maybe 3 or 4 "notches" below the middle of the guage.

is this a common problem with an easy fix? i was thiking maybe my thermostat is staying open? the car doesnt look like it has been modded so i dont think it has an aftermarket thermostat.

is it bad that my engine is below temp or does it not mean much or is it good?

any input would be great, thanks.

 

Just got out of my car. It's only 2 clicks too cold.

 

Check the basics, is the level full? are both hoses hot?

 

remove the thermostat and check it, if stuck open you will see right away.
