Engine problem

I am in need some technical assistance. I am a proud owner of a 05 suzuka S2000. I have had the car for about 11 months. The odometer reads 7200.
Symptoms:
2 weeks ago my car started to shake moderately at idle. The car also bogs and sputters in the lower RPMS. Shortly after the engine check light came on.
Attempted fix 1:
I took the car in to Santa Monica Honda. They pulled code P0301 from the ECU, misfire in cylinder 1. They told me that I had a faulty injector. They replaced the injector, reset the ECU and handed my back my baby 2 days later.

does the check engine light blink on and off? if so this means that the misfire is bad enough that the raw fuel is damaging the converter.
we had an '05 accord with a full tank of gas come in with a no start condition. bad gas was the diagnosis. tank was drained and refilled with "good" gas. havnt seen that vehicle back yet. which usually means that the problen is fixed.
a month ago my mom's '02 accord puttered and died out about 10 mins after she got gas in the ghetto. after checking the usual items i drained the tank and put in new gas and it started right up.
so yes you can have bad gas and with the current gas prices i suspect some gas stations are diluting their gas.

91 octane fuel?? Is that regular unleaded petrol? Put in premium, should be 98 ron+
Speed2k: I know that Chevron is supposed to be a top line fuel but that doesn't mean they don't pump a bad tank every once in a while. I once got a load of water from a local Chevron station.
I'd try a different station for a while and see if gets any better.Good luck,

You might very well have clogged fuel injectors. I have had the same problem some time ago (and I was scared sh*tless). It even caused the check engine lamp to flash at some RPMs (means severe misfiring).
If you're technically inclined, you could reset the ECU's error code swap the ignition coil, and see which error code you pull after that if the 'misfiring' persists. My bet is that it would be the same code thus same cylinder. Also, you can try to listen to the injector (put tip of large screwdriver on the injector and listen with your ear pressed against the handle). If you don't hear a clicking noise, the injector is not working (stuck) like in my case.
These where the steps I took before going out and buying a strong fuel injector cleaner (may only use once every 6000 miles). After I put it in the tank, started up the car (still rough) I tapped the stuck injector a few times genly with the screwdriver and presto it was working fine again!!
Another member on this board who lives close to me had the same kind of problems (ended up paying $$$ at the dealership) and it turned out we had fueled up our cars at exactly the same gas station!
Every so many thousand miles I put in a normal fuel injector cleaner (available everywhere) to prevent it from happening again.

my VR4 ONLY runs good on shell premium.
i get knock on chevron and 76. same boost level and it runs awesome with shell.
doesnt matter what station i go to. 76 and chevron both hurt to the point that i have to drop 3 PSi to avoid knock.

lots of gas stations dillute gas - saw a report on this once. go somewhere else and mention it to the owner.
a lady pulls into a shell gas station and pumps $2 worth of regular gas and gets a recipt. less than a day later her car is running worse than a fat guy in a triathalon. she takes it into the dealer and they find that she has deasil fuel in her tank. her engine is wasted. fuel lines, injectors, valves, all clogged. she goes back to the shell station and tells them she got diesel fuel out of their unleaded pump.
they told her that the tanker guy put diesel fuel in the regular underground tank. she showed them her $2 gas receipt and repair invoice and they had no other choice than to pay for repairs to her vehicle. without that receipt she would have been screwed.
ever since i heard that story i have gotten a receipt everytime i fill up.
