Engine is seized, what to do next
My car died due to oil problems- not sure why yet but will find out as soon as I ge the motor out of my car. I am debating on just getting a used block or rebuilding the one I have. Either way, it seems like I will be spending about $4k. So if there is anyone with experience with these engines, I could use some advice on what parts I should go with. Right now, I am thinking a J's racing 2.2l stroker kit and Brian Crower valves, springs, titanium retainers, 550cc injectors, and a Emanage ultimate. I am in college, but do auto body work in the summer and make pretty good. But if there is anyone that has any experience or advice on what would be best for both reliability and performance, I would gladly appreciate input. Thanks

Well it depends on what damage is done to the engine first. If the block is not re-usable then you will obviously need a new one and along with the parts you listed I think you are going to be out more than 4k. If it was me and you are still in college just swap out with a stock replacement and move on. Worry about modding when you don't have school to worry about. School first, pay off those loans.

evasive motorsports has the J's stroker kit for $1650, brian crower top end stuff for $650, emanage ultimate for $500, injectors for $400. Im almost done with undergrad and if there arent any reliability problems with these parts, I would much rather spend the money rebuilding the motor instead of just replacing it. The best price I have found on a used block is $3200, I dont mind spending another $2k for a fresh rebuild

Well I would be most worried about the bottom end as not so much as the top end. You might be able to get away with just a shortblock instead of the entire longblock.

Make sure the engine is gone or froze by manually turning it, use the underdrive pulley, keep ther car in -N- of course AND TURN have some one look inside the cylenders after you remove a sparkplug, if you see the piston moving engine is not froze you have another problem.
