I got 173000 miles currently on my original belt, I don't think the belt was the issue. Also my wear indicator is exactly at the same place as yours.
The wear indicator should go to the left more with the new belt on. Maybe something wrong with the wear indicator.

I replaced my surpentine belt a few months ago with the gatorback bc my belt was worn and slightly noisey. it quited the engine bay alot. my belt had 114000 miles when I changed it. 173k seems to be pushing it, I would think.

Well I'm going by the wear indicator and it hasn't gone passed that mark.

Don't wait too long to replace original belt. I waited until 194,000 on my original belt and one day coming home in the rain, the belt got wet and the combination of wet belt and not enough rubber left on the back side of the belt let my water pump slip to the point that it overheated and blew steam out of the overflow of the coolant reservoir. SCARY at 65 MPH in traffic in torrential downpour! Pulled over immediately and luckily I only had to replace the serpentine belt with a new one and refill coolant. Dodged an expensive bullet!
