Any other ideas? I have an appointment on Tuesday for a tech to look at it, not the dealership.

Sucks dude, how about what billman suggested with the power outlet. Did your device loose power at all??

The radar detector that I almost always have plugged in doesn't even flinch. And it has a power up sequence so I would know for sure if it lost power and regained it. I said something about that earlier but didn't elaborate on it.

Side note, I just drove well over 100 miles with all kinds of driving with no problems. It's so weird how intermittent this problem is.

Found a hairline fracture in a soldier joint inside the main relay. I re soldiered the joint but I'm really thinking this is the cause of the problem. If not the entire main relay assembly itself. The relay contacts from being switched so many times could have a build up on them.

If I were to do it all over again I would say do the ignition switch and the main relay first. That would be the most likely fix to this problem. I'll report back if the stall happens again. But I still expect this to fix the problem.

My GF's CRX was doing the same thing. I replaced the Main Relay and fixed up the ignition switch wiring (previous owner had hacked into it to install an aftermarket alarm ) it fixed her problem.

You have an aftermarket alarm wired in to ignition switch wires? I removed the alarm system when I did the GF's Rex. I have seen the aftermarket alarm boxes go bad and cause trouble.

I removed the entire alarm system so that was out of the question. I really believe the main relay fixed this issue.
