Hey, just curious if anyone has done any engine swaps on an s2000. I did a little bit of searching and didn't find anything.

I'm curious what can and can't fit:
-supra 2jz-gte
-mr2 - 4gsomething or other
-rx7 - 13BREW-TT
-350 small block chevy v8 - lt1/4, ls1/6

Thanks for any info!

I personally believe hybrids are a pain. I had a B16a CRX and it had a large number of issue to be resolved with the swap, doing something custom like this would not be worth it IMO. I'd rather just build up the stock engine to handle a turbo.

In terms of dimensions, find somebody who's tried or measured. I think the tranny tunnel would be the main issue.

I really think if you are going to try something of this caliber, you shoud really look into keeping it in the honda family. Id go for an NSX motor. Supercharged youd be the ultimate sleeper!! Oh yeah just wait till i finnish my project............ i gurantee it will be the worlds ULTIMATE SLEEPER!!!

As for an NSX engine, it would be the biggest pain because the engine was designed to be mounted in a Mid-Rear platform. The S2000 is a Front Rear Platform.

this has been played out probably hundreds of times...the conclusion is always the same. DONT DO IT! moreover, Don't even THINK about doing it, because it's pointless and ruins the purpose and balance of the car in its entirety...not to mention it'd be next to impossible to improve the car in the process.

*gets off soapbox*

swapping out the f20c is the stupidest idea ever, the f20c is what makes the s2000.

now if you have a POS civic dx with a crappy d15 motor, than of course getting an engine swap would be great.

some of you guys dream too much.

You can make anything fit with enough money. But when you can spend ~5K on a supercharger that will give you 300+ whp AND allow you to maintain the S2000s great handling characteristics + reliability, why bother?
