Engine turns off at idle when at stop or coasting.
Very weird. I haven't driven my car in about 2 days. It was about 60 outside when I last drove it, today started around 35 here in Houston. I started it up, let it warm up for about a minute. Everything was fine for the few stops leaving my neighborhood. Until I got to a light where I had to stop for longer than 5 seconds. Engine just turns off! Just like that, no hesitation at all. Idle went low, all the lights turned on the cluster and then off. I started it back up and had to keep my foot on the gas to keep it from turning off. I could feel the engine losing power.
I decided to turn around and get my truck. I stopped quickly to see if in fact it would turn off and it did. At every stop sign and even coasting, the engine would turn off. No noise at all when this would happen. After each time, I just turned it back on and rev the engine a bit when going into first and all is fine.
Any ideas? I'm thinking it might be the cold. I searched and saw that the MAP sensor could affect the engine when there is a drastic change. What was weird for me was that it's never had this issue before and the engine doesn't sputter before turning off. It's as if something electrical gets disconnected very quickly. Once I'm driving, it's normal.
It's a 2002. Has about 69k miles. Gas tank was half full. Never had problems with it before.

Hmmm...35 is really cold for Houston...maybe your temp comp map is way off at colder temps/low rpm. Try raising your idle rpm to 1100 or so and see if that helps keep you out of that range.
I am assuming you're tuned on the AEM EMS? Can someone please post the most up to date temp comp map? Input that, too. That might help.
