Whilst driving today i got no further than the car park at work when my engine management light came on, the car was experiencing an unbalanced idle and upon changing gear the engine felt like it was going to die and the car decelerated. Previous to this have noticed over the last week or so that when cruising, say trying to maintain 85mph the engine feels as though it misses a beat. Has anybody experienced anything similar, if so what was the outcome? Any information would be gratefully received.

Problem now fixed. Turned out to be a loose connection on the throttle position sensor. Car now feels much smoother, at all revs. Cost was one hours labour,
