Default EPS Code 3

Hey All,

My car has an EPS light on originally its had CODE 3 and CODE 23. I swapped it out with one I bought on Ebay and now I just have CODE 3.

I read the manual and a little confused on it. Does it want to to test connectivity between the two 2P connectors or the 2P connect to the EPS Module?

I think maybe they want me to the unit itself....

If that is the case then there is connection there.

Then step 3 says to test the next set. there is no continuity between those. So it says to repair the wire between EPS and Gear Box? I think this is the RED and Green Wire.

I disconnected the eps wire going to the rack (red and green) and check for continuity and there was none.

I next tried to do the eps reset and that seem to have went thru ok. It blink twice at me at the end and light went off. I removed the jumper and then turned car back on and eps comes on. I turned the car off connected 4 and 9 to check flash code and eps light stays solid.

So my reasoning behind that is when I tested the red and green wires going to the motor there shows continuity. With the wire disconnected there is none. Which confirms that the wiring is find. So my guess is that there shouldnt be continuity between those to wires when it hooked up to the motor. So it causing the EPS to think it is ON?.

So quick update on my adventure.
I removed the steering rack. Man was that a PITA. I found it easier to remove the front sway bar and just drop it out the front.

Here is a picture of my torque sensor and rack. When I opened it water poured out.
