EPS Code 33 fault
I am having trouble curing a code 33 eps fault on my 2001 S2000. The steering slowly started to not work from time to time last year. The car sat most of this year, I did 2 drives with it the past 4 months and it suddenly stopped working completely when I went for the 3rd drive. I fear the rack itself may be bad.
I have completed the Honda service recommendation of replacing the EPS control module with a known good condition unit (tried 2 of them). I even went ahead and replaced the torque sensor with another one (used and said to be AP1). Both performed to spec from the service book.
I checked the pins and connectors on the rack, torque sensor, and eps module. Nothing looks burnt or broken. I loosened and retightened the ground cable for the rack on both ends. I continuity tested most wires from the connector on the EPS between ECU and the torque sensor itself. Everything seems to be ok.
Any ideas S2ki?

Update. Installed a used AP1 rack. Didnt clear any codes or relearn the torque sensor yet. The EPS light went off and power steering has returned.
new inner and outer tie rod ends on order as well as front anti bump steer kit.
