Default EPS light problem

So this morning, I started my car, and got an EPS light.

No biggie, I checked the fuse, blown.

Now, I haven't touched anything with the power steering, but I did recently install my PSS9s (although everything was fine for a week).

I replaced the fuse, started the car, I can move the steering wheel with one hand while standing still (although it feels a little clunky like its clicking through the turn) but the light is still on. Anything else I can check and see whats going on? Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. Trying to avoid the dealer at all costs. I don't trust them.

At this point a dealer may be your friend, they have access to the only diagnostic computer system that will be able to communicate with the EPS system. You need to find out what codes is being stored and tripping the EPS light to come on.

How many fuses are there for the EPS system? I seem to have read that there is one under the hood (60A) and one under the dash (7.5A). Is there any truth to this? I replaced the one under the hood, but didn't check the one under the dash.

Do the paperclip trick to get the code and atleast you'll have a starting point to diagnose.

Ok....

The fuse I replaced was a blown 60A (not 70A) fuse under the hood which is labeled EPS on the box cover....that one was blown.

I checked under the dash (2003 AP1) and I don't see any 7.5A fuses for anything remotely having to do with power steering. Do you know what the fuse is called? Backup? I looked for like 30 minutes and couldn't find one.

After looking over the Honda ETM for a 2003 s2000 again, I can only find those two fuses sending power to the EPS control unit and its components.

Fuse number 5 under the dash might not be called EPS. Might say ACC.
if your looking at the box there should be two rows of fuses. left row counting up from the bottom should be a 7.5 amp.

Ok. I will try and get the code on Monday, as I realize that this is impossible to diagnose on the net.

Can anyone confirm that jumping pin#4 and pin#9 are the correct pins to get EPS codes? The last thing I want to do is short out my ECU.

Also, if you guys say the EPS fuse is the 70A one, and my 60A next to it was blown, what's that fuse for?!

2003 under dash #5 7.5 amp fuse name: Back up light/instrument light
. component or circuit protected: back up lights ,convertible to control
unit , eps control unit. gauge assembley, keyless door lock control unit.

If any of above component is working, i won't worry about that fuse, and i've looking up the the main EPS fuse on diff. model yrs they are all 70amps (under hood). did you check your fuse box cover to see how many amps it should be before you replace it?and if the EPS light is not on, i don't think there are any codes stored. so don't waste your time if the EPS light is not on unless you don't have any assist.

i will check again to see if you can jump any connectors to get EPS code
, i don't see any info for that so far.
