Eps module interchangeable?

Eps module interchangeable?
Have a customer at my shop with an EPS fault and have determined the module for the EPS is faulty. I want to give the customer the option of replacing it with a good used module, but have a question about the part number.
MY04 s2000's have a vin break in part numbers:
To VIN #4T000630 39980-S2A-A03
From VIN #4T000631 39980-S2A-A05
His vin falls within the early side of the break and the ap1's have a different number as well, so finding specifically an early 04 module might be difficult. Does anyone know if there actually is a difference between the A03 and the A05 modules or are they interchangeable?
EDIT: FOUND THAT THE LATER IS THE SAME MODULE WITH A SUPERSEDED PART NUMBER.
