i just took delivery of my 01 s2k , real nice to drive shifts in nice and all no grinding but on decel i notice it vibrates until the clutch pedal..... it's like a buzz or something.

is that what u call the drastic clutch buzz? will swapping new clutch in be a good idea or what method to eliminate or at least reduce the thing? ( what is causing it?)

its a known problem on 00-01's, its not a major issue, replacing the clutch will fix it, but its not absolutely necessary, if you search for the issue there are a few threads on it, i wouldnt worry about it though, i barely notice mine anymore

 

*laughs* it's not really troubling me but i wonder will it lead to more problems in the future u know like a chain event?

cause downshift from 6th to 5th the vibration is more noticeble on the pedal.

i just want to make sure its the legendary "clutch buzz" issue instead of somehting else with the symptoms i said above. if it is then it will help me out a lot to search for it =)

erm and this only happens in decel

 

do you notice it happening in a certain rpm range? because mine typically happens between 2700 and 4000. most peoples is right around 3-4k, if thats about where yours is, then i wouldnt fret, no one here has reported any chain issues....
