agreed. there is no reason for you to buy an 03 ECU.

Is it possible that one of the critical soldered connections has let go? I've seen this whole MAP code several times before and a good soldering job has resolved all the problems. You are the first one (of the 5 or so owners whom I've dealt with) I've heard of to report a recurrence of this situation after the connections have been soldered. One such owner that I personally know has been trouble free for over a year. He also got the MAP code and like you, after the dealer put in a new sensor, the same problem came back. After the soldering job, never again.

the Red ECM wire looked like it didnt get soldered very well - fixed that, will monitor if the error comes back.

Reset the ECU so it can start all over again.

reset ECU - drove it for a bit and no error - hopefully that fixed it.

Good luck. However, you may not be out of the woods until you've driven it a while. MAP codes can sometimes take a few days before returning.

been driving it all weekend and so fat so good -- i think its fixed (cross my fingers) -- thanks xviper / slow / and Wis.... Appreciate the help....
