Default exhaust install problem

perhaps someone can help. I recently installed a magnaflow exhaust on my 2007 and I am having dificulty with the fit. The resonator is resting right up against the floor of my car. I have moved it every way possible and tried adjusting the hangers. I removed it and reinstalled it 3 times and every time it does the same thing. It is burning the floor on the outside and I am nervous of what will happen if I leave it this way. Can anyone help? I was told this model #15831 will fit 2007 model year. Anyone install on thier car that can chime in? Thanks.

are you using a different hanger than the one that was holding the stock midpipe resonator in place? if so it could be that the new hanger isn't fitting right.

I used all the OEM hangers. The new exhaust only comes with clamps and no hangers. I put all the OEM hangers in the proper locations.

from what you've described, i think it's just a problem with the design of the exhaust. there really couldn't be anything else wrong. i've installed/uninstalled my exhausts 6 times so far and haven't ever come across any problem like this. i haven't really heard of many people running a Magnaflow. maybe you should try to return it and get a more well-known/ widely-used exhaust for the car?

also, you need to make sure that the one you bought was MADE to fit the models after 2005.

How about some Pics.

This may help.........have you tried bending the hangers to make a better fit?

That may not help at all and could be completely not helpful.....Im a very visual person so it's hard for me to try and help with just you description.

Pics please. I'd like to see where this hits. Most issues with exhausts really center around the lower suspension crossbar (like J's).
Just bought the magnaflow myself. Sitting in thebox......

Only a few fits MY06-07. Call and recheck with Magnaflow and see if they sent you the right one.

According to their web site, Magnaflow does not make an exhaust for an S any newer than 2005. This may be your problem. Especially if Honda made a change to the exhaust with the 07 model
