Default Exhaust smell at W.O.T.

As topic states I get a smell of exhaust when i'm at wide open throttle, I don't get it when i'm just driving around normally. It usually occurs on the highway when i'm haulin' ass to be honest. Anyone have the same issue?

Yes, its normal, just more exhaust gas getting pushed out. I think that the older age S2000's may get a little stronger scent due to the age/decreased filtering of the catalytic converter. Friend in his 07' smelled my stock 01' when I got on it. Now that I have a test pipe, the smell is always around. Don't worry, your car is fine.

Of course you may have inherited a tesp pipe from the previous owner...check to see if you still have your cat.

As much as I wish I were lucky enough to get even that, I know I don't have a test pipe. Thanks for the replies!

I want to know how you're able to smell your own exhaust if you're on the HWY @ WOT hauling ass.

I mean the exhaust tips are several feet behind you and you're traveling at a fast rate, lol
