I've heard that the Spoon N1 is too loud, is it? I know performance wise it is very good. But is it fit for dailydriving?

Does the silencer reduce the sound by much?

For me, the Spoon N1 exhaust is sounding like a less likely option every time it has been brought up, since it seems unanymous that its just too friggin loud.

I would think that most of the S2k owners would prefer something that sounds close to stock for regular city driving, and gets louder as you open up on the throttle.

Any suggestions for that?

how about get a subwoofer and speakers and play a sound clip of an exhaust, this way you can adjust the volume, etc.

j/k

There's another choice that not too many people talk about. Veilside Full Titanium exhaust. "Tear Drop"
There exhaust is new to the market. But Veilside it self is nothing new to performance. They hold many street records with it's 8.88 second street Skyline R34 and 9 sec Street supra. It's a single exhaust that comes out on the right side. And it goes for half the price Spoon go for. Spoon N1 and HKS Hiper are great choices. But for $700 dollars you can't go wrong with a full Titanium cat-back exhaust. But if you are looking for a quiet/sporty note exhaust. This may not be your option. From what I have heard, single exhaust are a lil bit louder than duals. I guess I'll find out soon. Have one on it's way.

Ya ive been lookin at the veilside as well. I love the way it looks, how much are you paying for it? Ive seen some clips of an s2k with the spoon exhaust, its pretty loud...but damn it sounds good. I just wish it came in titanium cause i love the way TI looks.

I am running an apexi ws dual canister exhaust with a spoon 4 2 1 header on the street.
The car sounds incredible. Everyone i pass by tells me how amazing the car sounds. Really deep and really smooth. I believe this exhaust is one of the quieter set ups behind the mugen. During city driving with the top down its never a bother. Even at night with no sounds around the exhaust note is not intrusive.
The only time i can see it being a bother is when i have a "friend" in the car and i m trying to hold a conversation.

I highly suggest anyone looking for an exhaust, especially one that is a single outlet to take a test drive in a car that has a similar set up. Do teh test with the top up and that way you ll hear the worst of it. My neighbors already hear me coming up the hills, i know they would cry if i had the Veilside Ti set up =)
