I do not believe that any of those set up with give you a loss in power. most of the results i have seen were from different days and the differences were so small that they could have been attributed to dyno fluxuation.

In regards to your question about street legal, i guess that all depends on where you live. The S is a LEV (low emissions vehicle) so i dont think there is really anything you can do to make it fail a sniffer test. It will still pass with flying colors with an open exhaust in my opnion. If you live in CA however, we have a 95 dB rating that the exhaust sound must be below. I hope that answers your question

I just ordered my Spoon N1, so I'm still waiting for it. A lot of people say it is extremely loud. You figure, at WOT, the S2K (stock) is 93dB, so the N1 is probably going to be around that level when driving normally. However, at WOT, the N1 will be way over 100dB.

You could consider the J's N1 single, I am going to be ordering one someday soon.

I thought about the J's N1 too, but my goal is to Spoon-feed my S2K. The J's N1 is about $800. The Ti exhaust is obviously lighter than the stainless steel ones, but much more expensive. The Amuse R1 (Ti) is $2300, whereas the J's N1 and Spoon N1 is about $700-800.

FYI,
The Veilside Ti exhaust is a waste. It's only axle back. As for the Spoon N1.... It's not too loud. If you run the test pipe included, it's loud as heck. Then again, ANY exhaust you run on the S with a test pipe is loud as heck. I have my Spoon N1 on with the cat still in and it's no louder at cruise than my HKS was.

Any of the Ti exhausts are loud. The J's is loud, but not as loud as the Ti setups. The Amuse is the LOUDEST exhaust out for the S. The Spoon and the J's are comparable to each other, and quite tame in comparison to the AMUSE.

If you want a nice dual that's not too loud and looks awesome, get the Apex Dual WorldSport. It looks mean and is nice and quiet, only sounding agressive under acceleration. It doesnt drone as much as the HKS does.

Shadow_S2K, I've only heard a video clip of the Spoon N1, but I've talked to people about it. Hams2000 was nice enough to help me out with deciding on the Spoon. The N1 sounded awesome on the video clip.....can't wait to receive mine.
