in need of a new short block, and found an intriguing deal on an F20c block.

Other than the obvious difference of decreased displacement, would an F20 block bolt and work just fine on a DBW f22 head?

I imagine the cams would need to be changed for efficiency, but other than that, has this been done on the DBW cars?

 

The heads are the same other than the air pump passage (on the 00-05) and internals. No reason it wouldnt bolt together, you would just need to swap the crank sensor with the one from your dbw block.

 

Euro ap2 chassis kept f20 motors.

 

Also, some countries got the F20C2 with DBW in their "AP2". So Honda did it, a long time ago
