Default F20C in AP2?

Hey guys i am new to the website so hoping i put this in the right forum, but anyways i was hoping you guys could answer a question for me. I have a 2004 S2000 and recently i blew my motor so i found a JDM F20C motor that i am going to purchase, and this may or may not be a stupid question but was wondering if it would work in my AP2 without any problems or extra parts, because i know when putting an F22 in a AP1 you need an engine harness. Couldnt find any info on the internet about vice versa, so thought id ask you guys. Thanks.

Wrong. When you put an F22c in an AP1 you do NOT need an engine harness. 2004-2005 F22c longblocks drop straight into an AP1, with no modifications or extra parts needed. Ask me how I know.

Anyways, I'm not sure of the feasibility of putting an F20c into an AP2. However I do know the 2006s and newer had DBW, which is something that might present a problem. I'd imagine 2004-2005 would be easier... Not sure though.

The bigger question though is, why would you put in an F20c into an AP2? Just to save money?

Check to see if japans F20c for 06+ came drive by wire, I'm not sure. The problem I see using a F20c in ap2 is the fuel map, it could be too lean. You my have to use a richer fuel map
