Surprised you missed the TCT discussions the past 8 years you've been a user here. Some guy known as @Billman250 has developed a bullet proof replacement for the OEM TCT (you may have read about him here).

If that were true the OEM TCT would shower the engine with powdered metal, no such thing happens with OEM hardware. Cheap OE replacements however will wear out internally.

Billman uses the OEM TCT core, and is by far the best modified TCT out there, even over the TODA version. I don't want to step on his toes and give away the secret sauce, but he doesn't modify the internals as far as I'm aware.

The internals wear out. They don't shower anything with powered metal. The internals can be sand blasted to restore operation but that doesn't last. You've been on this forum since 2013 but don't seem to have paid any attention to TCT problems .

The Sandblasting also dont help, it´s just not ebven a Band aid. It´s a total waste of time, in my opinion. The Problem is different. Billman solve the Problem in a genius, simple way.

I have changed Intake and exhaust side. Why? Just for peace of mind and "why not, when i allready have dissasembled the camshafts" To avoid a misshift, re-grease the shifter.
When you dissasemble the Rocker assembly under the camshafts, be carefull. The rocker assemblys and the rocker shafts can easyli slide away and become apart.
On a little Honda meet here i talked with a former Honda dealer, he told me that a few customers had misshifts and overreved engines.

Of the more than a handful retainer swaps that I've done along with the years of reading these forums rarely if ever have I heard of but can confirm I came across this real life, tried and true exhaust valve retainer that is cracked.

Granted, it's not your run of the mill. "Just doing this for peace of mind." There was an absolute over rev. Bent valves but the shop only replaced the valves and retainers intake and exhaust on JUST that cylinder.(done in 2019)

Comes to me spring 2025 & I inspect the exhaust retainers first and one of them clearly is cracked. When pulled the retainer out, the cracks were straight across from each other and ran virtually to the top of the hat on the inside. I'm not sure how much longer it would have lasted...... Its days were definitely numbered. Talk about a ticking time bomb ..... This one was primed and ready to let go!

So it's not a never, but unless it's a really really bad of an over rev, the exhaust side is probably going to be okay. Doesn't hurt to check though.
