Unhappy S2000 noise inside cabin

Trying to find out where this is sound is coming from and why. I can only hear it from inside and sound comes from the middle/passenger side. Only makes sound when I'm at any speed even when in neutral

Perhaps the fit of the ragtop? Is it the cloth or the strap loose?

Do you get the same noise with the roof down?

Thanks!

Hope you can track it down but I can't hear anything unusual. Did whatever sound you hear just start? What have you done to the car recently?

It has a hardtop on, the video doesnt do it justice but it sounds like its coming from the drive shaft or transmission. When I go into 4,5,6th gear it gets a little louder. All my gears are fine no grind or pops.

Just regular maintenance engine at the moment. I think the noise is either coming from the driveshaft or transmission. When I poke my head outside I cant hear it.

You can additional sound proofing under the carpet and in the doors.

I just put the car on jackstands and tested it the noise seems like its the transmission I am not sure what it is. When I go into 4,5,6 gear it gets louder(you can hear towards end of video). It shifts good and doesn't pop out or anything. I also just replaced the transmission fluid with oem honda.

I listened to the video and I cannot make much of it at all. Have you ever checked the differential fluid or replaced it? You might try that.

Before I did my sound deadening I do seem to recall hearing the transmission gear whine much more than I do now. That is why I did not do any sound proofing forward of the crossmember as I wanted to be able to hear the engine!
