Default Factory alarm question

I have a MY00. Either someone has been trying to break into my car 3 times in the past week, or something is going wrong with my factory alarm.

It went off Friday night, Saturday night, and last night (Tuesday). All times were after midnight.

Could this be due to battery issues? Colder Weather? The car sits at the end of my driveway.

Any input would be appreciated!

I guess this could be almost anything. I don't know much about the factory alarm (I just had the keyless entry remote) but based off other Honda's I recall it not being that sensitive.

It could be someone is messing with the car, a loud motorcycle or something went by, anything! Don't think it would be the battery or anything to do with cold weather imo.

Any other evidence of a break in? If someone made a real attempt it would be pretty obvious.

^ No, that's the weird thing.. When the alarm went off Saturday night the motion lights were on outside the house, but not on Friday or Tuesday. No evidence as far as scrapes, mangled lock/handle/window track.

I don't know what it is!

Thanks for the replies though!

Most likely it has been disturbed. Alarms are not effected by battery or weather other than if the battery is dead it won't go off.

Seeing as though your car is on the edge of your driveway, it could be anything from passing cars, pedestrians or stray cats.

I don't find the factory alarm in my 00 S sensitive at all. I've never had it go off.. I don't even know if it has a shock sensor!
