I just bought an 04 AP2 through a private seller.

Took it in for smog test and this is what i got:

15mph - HC = 309 (max allowed is 58), CO% = 0.63 (max 0.52), NO = 1244 9 (max 451)
25mph - HC = 273 (max 42), CO% = 0.65 (max 0.50), NO = 1030 (max 738)

So basically, everything for emissions failed. Any thoughts?

lol. i guess i'll be taking a look after work.

i was getting a CEL for random cylinder misfires... not sure if that would add to this as well.

 

dont take your car in for smog if you have cel's

 

You may also have a bad 02 sensor, my guess is a test pipe with a cheater.

misfires will kill all those numbers, but the cat has to be checked.

 

I thought the seller was responsible for the smog check prior to sale...
