^easiest way might be to take off valve cover..check the valve retainers...if they're all there you mightve gotten lucky?

if it wont start though, I'm not willing to bet on it.

well today i took the day off to operate surgery on the s. =( i'm pretty saddened, it feels like i lost a family member. anyhow, me and a friend of mine did push start the car, it ran for a couple of seconds, engined would pop, ran like crap (stuttered), so i knew it would be best just to shut it off. i'll have pics posted of the damage. hopefully its just the head

I never understand this. You KNOW there is something wrong with the engine. Why try to start it up? Do you intentionally want to make sure you have done the maximum possible amount of damage?

I totally agree with you! You should of just taken the head off... doesn't take too long and now you have probably sealed the engine's fate!

Am I missing something, or just being a dumbass, but why didn't the rev limiter kick in to prevent damage (unless it's been removed)?

Rev Limiter can NOT help you when it is mechanical.

I know, i guess i was caugh upt between the hype, or we could just call it "stupidity." Anyhow, how do you post pics up here? i'm trying to post a pic of the damage. fortunately only one valve bent! i was shocked it wasn't worse. with this said, i now have a engine open, and any true car geek knows that if something's coming apart, something aftermarket is going back in. right? haha well yeah now i need you speed junkies ideas? any minor modifications i could do to the head?
