Default Fan keeps blowing fuses.

On my way to work my car started to over heat. Right away i knew my slim fan wasnt kicking in. Checked fuse ....blown. Replqced fuse and the fan turned on for 1 second then blew the fuse again. I dont see any shorts in the wiring but its hard to tell with all the loom around it. When the car is not hot enough for the fan to go on the fuse wont blow, but when it gets to that temp where it has to go on it blows. Just need some insight on what exactly to look at. Thanks

check your connections or its a faulty sensor,
fuses only blow to save the thing there protecting

the fuse is protecting the fan from blowing when a strong charge is sent,
or when there is too much charge from neg or positive,

PS this is a SPAL slim fan.
I checked the wiring that connects to the fan and it's fine. I hooked the fan directly to the battery and it works.
Anyway I can re wire the fan to the fuse box some how? Tracing the fan OEM wires is going to be almost impossible.

are you running a different intercooler?

and dang... i did some research and read paragraph 4 where it starts saying
The driver side fan is a little more involving since you can't just connect it to the original harness

http://dsm.fidke.com/articles/diy-sp...lkthrough.aspx

i think your going to have to rewire it

There is a short to ground or your SPAL fan draws more current than the wiring and fuse is rated for.

Air in a cooling system doesn't blow fuses.
