Anyone have feedback on the Amsoil Severe diff oil 75W-110?

This is the product by HTG.

I want to go with LE1605, but I can't find anyone selling locally in Socal.

I'm using it, can't really tell any difference to before to be honest.

A 75w110 matches the old SAE 90 spec that Honda specifies for our cars better than a modern 75w90 does, so IMO you can't go wrong with it.

I run Amsoil 75w-110 in my diff. So far so good. You can try seaching for an oil analysis, or jump on BITOG. But from my experience Amsoil always have great products and positive reviews.

Let me know if you need a quart, I have some.

Is there any issue with running the 75w90? That's what I have in my diff.

Lots of people run that without issues. But next time I'd get the 110 weight.

that's it exactly.

I hope to have a used fluid analysis of mine in a month or so. The LE fluid is a great fluid as well. If you use your car in cold temps the Amsoil may be slightly better as it is 100 percent synthetic and will flow better in cold temps while protecting equally well in hot temps.

The Amsoil SG75W110 is currently the best gear oil on the market and is perfect for all temperatures in the S2000.
I don't see a problem with running the SG75W90 - especially in the colder months. The diff typically doesn't get hot enough in normal driving in cold temps to worry about using 75W110. There's nothing wrong with running it in summer temps for normal to spirited driving - you actually might see slightly better fuel mileage. However, I don't recommend it for extended track use. 75W110 or 75W140 (modified diffs) for anything greater than spirited driving - especially in the hottest months.

I've used the LE fluids and frankly wasn't impressed - especially when it came time to change the fluid - it always came out very dark. I've gone more than 15,000 miles with Amsoil SG (and the Series 2000 gear oils that preceded it) and it comes out almost the same color as it went in - clean and very little deposits on the mag plug - the lightest of smears when the mag plug was cleaned. The two times I used LE, the plug came out filthy with significant fuzz (not just a smear) and the gear oil was like crude. That doesn't give me confidence in LE fluids.

Clean and consistent color = low wear and normal temps.
Additionally, I haven't seen anything but an outstanding UOA on any Amsoil product to date.

The Mobil 1 75W90 is a decent gear oil (doesn't test out as well as Amsoil - but it took a distant 2nd place) and would be the gear oil I'd use if I ran into an emergency where I couldn't get my hands on Amsoil (although I always have spare Amsoil on the shelf). Mobil 1 is available at any parts store and Walmart. If you want the best - stick with Amsoil.

A test commissioned by Amsoil through an independent lab:
http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g2457.pdf

It shows that you can't measure a lubricant on only one characteristic. The best fluids do well in every industry standardized test.
BTW - the worst fluids in this test were Lucas, one of the MOPAR synthetics and Royal Purple.
